Up the Copper Coast, Waterford

€600.00

Painted as part of a commissioned series exploring the same stretch of Waterford's beautiful Copper Coast from different vantage points and in changing atmospheres.

There's something about the simplicity of this particular painting that really appeals to me. I wanted to see how much I could communicate with as few brushstrokes as possible, allowing the colours, shapes and untouched paper to do much of the work.

For me, it's a reminder that sometimes less really is more.

Original Watercolour Painting

Size: approx. 17 × 9.5 inches (43.2 × 24.1 cm)

Painted on Arches 300gsm cold-pressed watercolour paper using Daniel Smith Extra Fine watercolours.
