I captured this scene initially with my camera as we meeting in the way to meet friends in Courtmacsherry Hotel for dinner and drinks. I capture lots if scenes but only the very few make it into the studio to be developed into a painting. I wanted to capture not only the sunset but the striking trees and the cosiness of the inside of the hotel where I ultimately wanted to let the eye rest with the help of some contrasted but complimentary colours, values and shapes.
